An exciting step forward at Nanomol Technologies!
We are pleased to share our latest project, where we are immersed in the development of artificial intelligence tools for the analysis of electron microscope images.
This project has been possible thanks to the financial support of ACCIÓ (Generalitat de Catalunya) through its program “Línia de subvencions a cupons indústria 4.0 de testatge de tecnologies digitals avançades” and access to the facilities of the Computer Vision Center (CVC) of the Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB)
Under the leadership of our leading scientists, Arnau Güell and Dr. Lidia Ferrer, this collaboration has explored the potential of advanced analysis of electron microscopy images, specifically Cryo-TEM images. The objective is to characterize with high accuracy the Critical Quality Attributes (CQAs) of DELOS and similar nanovesicle systems using artificial intelligence tools, where the CVC plays a leading role.
The results of this partnership will allow us to quantitatively analyze known CQAs, such as size distribution and morphology of SUVs (Small Unilamellar Vesicles) through deep learning, offering high accuracy in the quantification of these parameters. An initial feasibility study has already proven successful when applied to SUVs, opening the door to further investigations on other CQAs in different types of nanovesicles.
The results of this project reinforce Nanomol Technologies' ability to characterize pharmaceutical products and drug delivery systems. We are excited about the potential impact of these advances on the industry and excited to continue exploring new horizons in science and technology.
Stay tuned for our latest news!
