We're hiring a Process Engineer!

Nanomol Technologies, S.L. (www.nanomol-tech.com, Barcelona, Spain)  is a privately owned company offering novel formulation solutions using our green and patented DELOS nanoformulation technology, allowing the development of robust nanomedicines and tailored drug delivery systems based on micro and nanoparticles.  The company also delivers advanced cGMP particle characterization services to the pharmaceutical, biotech, cosmetic and chemical sectors.

We are looking for a Process Engineer. She/He will be dedicated to our DELOS Unit to develop &conduct scale-up and technology transfer projects. For that she/he will join the Engineering team under the supervision of the Technology Transfer Director. She/He also will be responsible for equipment management, with the guidance of senior Engineer, and will assist R&D projects operationally. 

 

Responsibilities:

  • Development and Conductment of scale-up & technology transfer projects:
    • Plan and Design Experiments using a Quality by Design approach
    • Implementation of formulation experiments using DELOS technology
    • Data analysis & curation
    • Coordinate with project team members and third partners
    • Presentation of results, internally and externally
    • Writing of reports for internal and external use
    • Develop tech transfer plans for industrial production
    • Estimate costs at pilot and industrial scale
  • Equipment management (lab& pilot scale):
    • Maintenance, calibration, improvement of production & auxiliary equipment
    • Design & implementation of new high pressure equipment
    • Training of personnel
    • Writing & Updating protocols & SOPs.
    • Procurement and purchase of equipment&materials supplies
  • Assist R&D projects:
    • Oversee production procedures
    • Ensure operational safety and process efficiency
    • Plan and assist production operations at the lab & pilot scale
    • Resolve engineering problems
  • Engage with organization (all levels) to acquire relevant inputs.
  • Report timely to manager and director level.

 

Requisites:

  • Essential: Degree in Engineering (Chemical, Industrial, Biomedical or Mechanical Eng. preferred)
  • Essential: A minimum of two years of proven experience in Engineering roles (R&D, Tech Transfer, production departments), preferably in the pharmaceutical, cosmetic, chemical or biotech industry.
  • Fluent in English and Spanish.

 

Valuable:

  • Knowledge of Quality by Design methodology and implementation, design of Experiments, statistic data analysis.
  • Advanced user of Excel/Graphpad/Origin/Minitab or similar tools
  • Working knowledge of current requirements for Good Manufacturing Practices will be a plus
  • MSc or PhD in Nanotechnology oriented to healthcare applications
  • Experience in supercritical fluid based processes
  • Experience in Pharmaceutical Production Preferred in liquid, sterile, and lyophilized forms
  • Experience in particle characterization techniques (Laser Diffraction, DLS, Microscopy techniques)
